Network History
In response to F-CRIN’s call for tender issued in October 2013, a group of hospital doctors working in different ICUs in France proposed to create a national network to improve sepsis knowledge and management. Investment and collaboration of non-physician researchers also interested in Sepsis increase the network strength. These researchers provide expertise in various but essential areas for the development of individualized therapies closer to patients' needs.
In July 2014, CRICS-TRIGGERSEP network has been granted by the French Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (F-CRIN) for 5 years. Within this framework, the National Research Agency (Agence Nationale de la Recherche - ANR) has funded the network to help in its implementation and operations. Financing coordination and controlling are managed by both F-CRIN and the Health and medical research Institute (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale - INSERM).
